Explanation

These are the current restrictions as of October 2022 that occur when updating your VAIO to the Windows 10 2022 Update (Ver. 22H2).

  • If the touch panel function is disabled under certain conditions and put into hibernation, the touch panel function will remain disabled on the logon screen after resuming
  • Unplugging and plugging in the AC adapter does not cause a corresponding change in LCD brightness
  • The procedure for recovering from recovery media will change.
  • After updating to 2022 Update (Ver.22H2), the setting value of the USB recovery function in the VAIO settings may differ from that before the update.
  • When creating a new user after updating to 2022 Update (Ver.22H2), the desktop wallpaper becomes Windows standard.

Details

Apps that were running before Windows restart/shutdown will automatically start after Windows restart/boot.

Details

Multiple VAIO setting notifications are registered in the list of “Get notifications from apps and other senders” in [Settings]-[System]-[Notifications & actions].

Details

This is due to changes in OS specifications.
To change the brightness, use the [Fn] key + [F5]/[F6] key, etc.

Details

When the “Choose an option” screen appears from [Start from media (USB device/Optical disc)] on the [VAIO Rescue Mode] screen, select [Use a device].
※The [Troubleshoot] step has been removed from the option selection.

  • After updating to 2022 Update (Ver.22H2), the setting value of the USB recovery function in the VAIO settings may differ from that before the update.

Details

When updating to the 2022 Update (Ver. 22H2), the VAIO configuration settings are not retained and reverted to the factory settings.
The setting value of the USB reset function (fingerprint scanner on VJS14*/12* and wireless keyboard on VJA121) returns to factory defaults.
Please reconfigure after the update.
