  • The internal layout of your computer has been designed very precisely, so you must be extremely cautious when adding or removing memory so as not to damage any other parts of your computer.  If you make a mistake when adding or removing memory, you can damage the memory or some other part of your computer.  If you damage the product in the process of adding memory on your own, all repair costs are your responsibility.
  • If you want to add non-VAIO manufactured memory, please make sure to verify that the memory you are using is compatible with your VAIO computer.  If you add memory that is not compatible, validated, it may not be recognized by your computer or your computer’s performance may become unstable.  Please note that once non-VAIO memory is added to your computer, we no longer cover any performance issues under your warranty.
  • If the screws on your computer are too tight and cannot be unscrewed, do not continue to attempt to open your computer up.  Please contact the VAIO Support Center.
