[VAIO_PC] How to Uninstall the Original Driver Software
Please tell me how to uninstall the drivers so I can reinstall them.
I want to uninstall the drivers because of a problem with the drivers and software that are pre-installed in my computer.

Please note
The following drivers do not need to be uninstalled before being reinstalled. They will be have to be reinstalled in order for the computer to perform the full re-installation.
- Intel (R) Chipset Driver
- SFEP (Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device) Driver
- VFEP (VAIO Firmware Extension Parser Device) Driver
- Sony Shared Library
- VAIO Shared Library
- VAIO Touch Screen Driver
The following settings for the program is not in the table (**** Setting) it does not need to be pre-uninstall such.
- Since the configured SSID and encryption keys are deleted when you select "Reset Settings", please select "Save Settings" when you uninstall the Intel (R) PROSet / Wireless software (Intel (R) Wireless LAN Driver).
- When you uninstall the Intel (R) serial IO driver (Intel (R) Serial IO Driver), you will lose the operation of the touch pad and touch panel. You can either pre-connect an external USB mouse and/or use the keyboard. Please also see the following related article:

Please be sure to download all of the drivers you need for your reinstall before you uninstall the drivers from your system.
Uninstall procedure
1. Going through the Control Panel, choose Programs and then Programs and Features.
2. When the "Programs and Features" screen is displayed, double-click the appropriate driver software.
3. Uninstall the software according to the directions that are displayed.
4. After uninstalling, you will need to restart the computer.
Please Note: Do not restart the computer until you see the message that reads, "To apply these changes, please restart the computer,"

How to uninstall driver software in Other Ways
- The following driver software uninstall method is different for each type of driver software.
- VAIO Power Management (those that are distributed in Zip file format)
Uninstall procedure
1. From the original driver software list page, you will need to download the module titled "VAIO Power Management."
2. Right-click the downloaded file and please select "Expand All" from the menu that appears.
3. In the "Compression Deployment of (Zip Format) dialogue box, please confirm that the check box for displaying all of the files is checked and then select expand.
4. Please open the Module folder.
5. Please double-click the file titled setup.exe in the Module folder.
6. Please select [OK] when the "Do you want to completely remove the selected application, and all of the features?" message is displayed.
7. When the "uninstall completed" message appears, please select "Finish".
8; Please restart the computer.
- VAIO Power Management (which has been distributed in the EXE file format)
Uninstall procedure
1. From the original driver software list page, you will need to download the module titled "VAIO Power Management."
2. Double-click on the downloaded file.
3. Choose "yes" from the dialog box.
4. Choose "yes" in the user control dialog box.
5. When asked "Do you want to completely remove the selected application, and all the functions," please select [OK].
6. Please select "Finish" when you see the message "Uninstall Complete".
7. Please restart the computer.
- VAIO Keyboard Receiver
Uninstall procedure
1. From the original driver software list page, you will need to download the module of "VAIO Keyboard Receiver".
2. Double-click the downloaded file.
3. When a dialog box appears, please select "ok".
4. Select "yes" when the user control dialog box appears.
5. Select "next" when the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for VAIO Keyboard Receiver" message appears.
6. Select "remove" when the "Remove the Program" message appears.
7. When the message "InstallShield Wizard Completed" comes up, please select "finish".
8. Please restart the computer.
