[VAIO_PC] Checklist for when the pointer doesn’t move smoothly even when moving the mouse

Cursor doesn’t move the way I want it to when I move the mouse.
Cursor jumps around the screen in ways that are not related to mouse movement.

Clean the mouse and reconnect.
The mouse may not function properly when there are debris under the mouse.  Turn off the PC and clean the mouse.
1. Turn off the PC and unplug the mouse.
2. Clean the bottom surface of the mouse with a dry cloth.
3. Connect the mouse and turn on the PC.

Check the material that the mouse is reading movement from.
Check to see if it’s a suitable location for a mouse.  The mouse may not function properly if placed on the following.
Clear material (ex. Glass)
Materials that reflect light (ex. Glossy surface, mirror)
Printed material, repeated pattern (ex. Pictures from magazines and newspapers)
Striped surface

If any of the above condition applies, test the mouse using printer paper with no gloss or a mouse pad.

Check the setting of the mouse.
There are cases where the mouse is set to leave a trail or to have slow movement.  Please change the settings and check to see if the issue improves.
