Explanation
In the Camera Settings of the ”VAIO Control Center”, you can make various corrections to the camera image to match the environment.
Because the corrections are made from the original images of the camera, the settings will be reflected in all camera apps and web conferencing apps you are using.
For the following models, this function can be used by applying the following update program.

※”VAIO Control Center” will be automatically updated from the Microsoft Store when connected to the internet after the “VAIO Firmware Extension Parser Driver Ver. 2.2.1.7290” update program is applied.

Since this function corrects images obtained from the camera, it may not be effective depending on the usage environment.

Background Blur
This function is useful for blurring the background of a person to protect privacy and confidentiality.
If the background is the same color as the clothing, hair, etc., the effect may not be achieved.
In this case, it is easier to achieve the effect if the clothing is different from the background color.

Auto Framing
This function analyzes the image being captured by the camera and automatically frames the image so that the user’s face is centered at the optimal size.
Depending on your environment, the Face Authentication function may not work properly, and it may take some time until this function is activated, or it may not work.

Face AE
By recognizing the user’s face and controlling the appropriate exposure, it adjusts the brightness of the face for easy reading of facial expressions.
※Correct adjustment may not be possible in extreme backlit conditions, etc. In this case, Auto Backlight Compensation should also be used.
※If you are wearing a mask or depending on the environment in which the camera is used, the Face Authentication function may not operate properly and may be difficult to reflect the correction. In this case, please prepare the environment for a better camera image.

Auto Backlight Compensation
Even in strong backlit conditions where the face appears completely black, the system automatically compensates for this to make the image easier to see.
When used in conjunction with Face AE, the user’s facial expressions are captured even more clearly.

Fixed Backlight Compensation
If Face AE does not work properly or stably due to wearing a mask or the environment in which you are using the camera, you can set a fixed value for the backlight correction value to correct the brightness without being affected by the environment.

Flicker Reduction
Automatically reduces flickering depending on the lighting environment used.
Please change to a fixed value of 50/60Hz according to the situation.
