Explanation
[About the password that can be set on BIOS]
You can set the password by using BIOS function. Only the user who knows the password can use the PC.
The following are the passwords that can be set using BIOS function.
Machine Password
This is the Administrator password. With this password, you can control everything in Windows startup and the BIOS menu.
User Password
This is the password for an individual user. With this password, you can control only parts of Windows startup and you can set up the BIOS menu.
- The user password cannot be set if the machine password (admin password) is not set.
Once you have set the machine password, the computer will display a screen asking for this password whenever you run Windows Startup and/or the BIOS setup menu.
Cautions If you forget the machine password, Windows startup or BIOS setup menu cannot be displayed. Please be careful not to forget the password. |
