Description
By enabling System Restore, your computer will create restoration points automatically, saving important files on the hard drive and computer settings. We recommend that you enable System Restore to protect your computer data.
Method of operation
- How to Enable System Restore
- Right-click the Start button.
- From the Quick Links menu, select System.
【Reference information】
The Disk Management screen can also be displayed using the following keyboard shortcut:
- Press the Windows key and the “X” key at the same time.
- When the Quick Links menu screen is displayed, select System.
No further work is required.
- From the System screen, select System Protection on the left side of the menu.
- Under the “System Protection” tab, select the drive for which you want to enable System Restoration and then select Configure.
- On the next screen, check mark “Turn on System Protection” and then select OK.
- When you return to the System Properties screen, select OK.
This completes the operation above.
- How to Disable System Restore
【please note】
If you disable System Restore, all restore points will be deleted. You will not be able to restore the system until a restore point is created by re-enabling System Restore. Please note: you cannot undo the deletion of the system restoration points.

For all of the disk, you will not be able to undo the unwanted changes to the system by using the System Restore”.
- From the System Properties screen, select OK.
